  1. David Binyam Said,

    Dear Music Sellers,

I was just listening to the music on your website. There are several shortcomings
of the music on your website. Firstly, the first music the young woman made about
her sufferings from a desease and oppression simultaeously is not bad as it is a
music about life. However, I don’t like this music personally because it is made
possible by Ethiopian colonizers of Oromo people and was recorded in a desert which
is not Oromo country, but the country of Woyyaanee. Her name “Hanishaa” was even
spelt in the Amhara alphabet. I am not supportive of using the Amhara alphabet in
Oromo affairs unless there are compelling situations. Secondly, the second music of
Shaggoyyee was recorded with the artists wearing the Habashaa clothing and is not
representative of the Oromo music. We have our culture and our clothes. There is no
reason why we should borrow clothes of the enemies in a music which is supposed to
reflect our art. There is also no need to show the music that is made with the
command of the colonizers the way they require it to be. The same is true about the
last music. Thirdly, the music with the title of Kamisee is expected to have been
made by Oromoo from Kamisee itself or from the povince of Walloo. However, I
understand that the music was made by Oromo from Wollagaa. Therefore, the music is
not represntative of Oromo from Kamisee and there is not need to promote the mixing
up of Oromo cultures with each other. It is not mixing up of cultures that makes
Oromo people if it was done to show the unity of Oromo people. It is loving and
respecting each other’s cultures. So, I don’t feel comfortable with this music.
Finally, the most disappointing on this site is the Music in the Amhara language.
There must be no opportunity of something that expresses the culture and language
of our colonizers to be included in Oromo affairs unless you are surrogates of the
Ehthipean colonizers. I am also strongly against that. Being that said, let me turn
the main purpose why I should mail you.

I want to purchase CD’s and music cassettes that I can use to keep my moral in life
and Oromo struggle high. I recently hear that a (young) woman called Faaxee Aniyyaa
produced a new CD. I would like to buy the CD. I would also like to buy the CD or
music cassette of Usmaayyoo Muusaa which contains the music “Hidhaa fi
Ajjechaan” as well as the music CD or cassette of Qamar Yuusuuf which contains the
music in English which sounds: “Oromia shall be free, Anything short we don’t agree!”.
I would also like to by the CD containing the music which approximatey sounds
“Qabsoo Blisummaa dhugaa, Qabsoo walabummaa haqaa, jecha Oromoota hundaa beeka.”
Finally, if you are supportive of the Oromo struggle for independence, I would like
to buy three more recent CD’s which do not have dirt in them and which have for the
most part music about Oromo struggle. By no dirt, I mean no music that confuses
matters of Oromoo struggle. If you can arrange for me what I requested, please
reply to me and let me know how to pay for the music. . Thank you in
    advance.

    Regards,
    David Binyam.
